Join Irma Stern™ Museum Director Nadja Daehnke in a discussion of the ‘How I Began to Paint’ exhibition. This exhibition opened in 2022 to mark a hundred years since Stern held her first, and notoriously poorly reviewed, South African solo exhibition.
Nadja will talk you through the research process behind ‘How I Began to Paint’, exploring central themes in Stern’s early work and experiences.
